Bio Farma Continues to Distribute Covid-19 Vaccines to 34 Provinces in Indonesia

For the 144.7 doses in bulk packaging, it is estimated that there will be 117.3 million doses of the finished vaccine. 

As of July 29, 2021, 117.1 million bulk doses of Covid-19 Vaccine have been processed at Bio Farma, resulting in 92.1 million doses of the finished product, with 74 million doses of which have received lot releases from Badan POM and 18.1 million doses in batches. quarantine process.

Bio Farma Corporate Secretary and Spokesperson Bambang Heriyanto said that a new vaccine will be able to be distributed, if it has gone through certain stages, such as the process fill and finish, packaging and also quarantine testing for vaccines received in bulk form. Meanwhile, vaccines received in the form of finished products will only go through the quarantine process.

“In the distribution process itself, Bio Farma has responsibility for the implementation of vaccine distribution from Bio Farma, to districts/cities. The implementation of the distribution will certainly be based on the allocation and request from the Ministry of Health," said Bambang.

In addition to this, in distribution, it is still necessary to pay attention to the availability or stock of vaccines that are ready to be distributed or have received a lot of release from the POM Agency. In addition to these things, Bio Farma will also consider the storage capacity at the Health Office at the destination. 

Bio Farma is currently continuing to distribute the Covid-19 vaccine to all provinces in Indonesia. For example, since July 26, 2021, Bio Farma has distributed vaccines to 34 provinces, including 2.1 million AstraZeneca vaccines, followed by 1.6 million on 28 July 2021 consisting of 300,100 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 1 Moderna. 3 million doses, and on July 29, 2021, Bio Farma has also delivered 3.2 million doses of vaccine, consisting of 1.2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, 1.9 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, and 47,400 doses of Moderna vaccine 

Thus, the total Covid-19 vaccine that has been distributed cumulatively as of July 29, 2021, has been distributed as many as 85 million doses consisting of 3 million doses of Coronavac, 67.7 million doses of Covid-19 Bio Farma and 12.8 million doses of AZ, and Moderna 1,5 million doses

This distribution activity will continue, where on July 30, 2021, it is planned to be redistributed to 19 provinces as many as 1,106,600 doses of vaccine consisting of 332,300 doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine and 774,300 doses of Bio Farma Covid-19.

For the remaining stock at Bio Farma itself, such as Astrazeneca Covax and bilaterally, of the 14.8 million doses received by Bio Farma, 12.8 million of them have been distributed so that the remaining in Bio Farma, there are around 2 million doses.

As for the Moderna vaccine, of the 4.5 million doses received by Bio Farma, 1.5 million doses were distributed, and the remaining 3 million doses will be ready to be distributed.

"Thus, cumulatively, the remaining stock at Bio Farma is 5.1 million plus the Covid-19 product which has just received a lot release as of July 29, 2021, totaling 5.4 million doses. So that the total stock at Bio Farma is 10.5 million doses that are ready to be shipped and besides that, there is still bulk that is in the production stage at Bio Farma,” said Bambang.

Bambang closed, Indonesia will continue to receive additional supplies of Covid-19 vaccines of around 45 million doses which are planned to come in August 2021, consisting of Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Pfizer. (ed)
