As of June 30, 2021, 69.1 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been produced at Bio Farma, of which 57.9 million have received lot releases from the POM, and the remaining 11.1 million doses are still waiting for the lot release from the POM. "So the total vaccine raw materials from Sinovac that have come to us are 105 million doses of vaccine. And it takes about a month at Bio Farma to process it into a ready-to-use vaccine, from 105 million it will turn into 85 million vaccines,” said Budi G Sadikin. The Minister of Health reminded that this vaccine does not make it immune to the COVID-19 virus. However, this vaccine makes the body more resistant, indicates if exposed to the virus more quickly, and responds faster against the virus.
"For this reason, even though you have been vaccinated, you must continue to carry out health protocols, first wear a mask, keep your distance and wash your hands," Said Budi.
In the near future, Indonesia will also receive additional vaccine supplies from the AstraZeneca COVAX Facility, which is a grant from Japan, which is expected to arrive in Indonesia in July 2021.
In terms of distribution, as of June 30, 2021, Bio Farma has distributed as of June 30, 2021, as many as 63.9 million doses consisting of 8.2 million doses of AstraZeneca, 3 million doses of CoronaVac and 52.7 million doses of the Covid-19 Vaccine. (ed/ss)
