Bio Farma Sent Vaccine Aid and Medical Team to Help the Earthquake & Tsunami Victims of Palu - Donggala
(Palu 3/10) Bio Farma sent a relief team consisting of seven personnel to the center of the earthquake and tsunami spot that occurred on September 28th, 2018 in the cities of Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi. The team, which was led by Director of Human Resources & General of Bio Farma, Disril Revolin Putra, will be in the location for nine days, starting from October 3rd to 12th, 2018.
Arriving in Palu, Bio Farma's team would join a team from other SOEs, as well as a team from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Later in the location of the earthquake and tsunami, Bio Farma would provide aid in the form of 1000 vials of Td Vaccine, 250 vials for flu vaccine, 500 ampoules of Anti Tetanus Serum (ATS 1500 IU) and 10 6×14 platoon tent units.
According to Disril, this aid was intended to alleviate the burden experienced by the people of Palu and surrounding areas, due to the earthquake and tsunami at the end of September 2018, and also help the medical team who had first arrived at the scene.
"We share in condolences for the incident which has killed more than 1,000 people and injured other thousands. As a state-owned company engaged in the health sector, we help to maintain the health of refugees, by providing immunizations for Tetanus and Diphtheria (Td), Flu, and treatment with Anti Tetanus Serum (ATS). With a team of seven personnel, God willing, we will join the SOE is There for the Country team, and the Indonesian Ministry of Health team," said Disril.
