(English) Bio Farma Successfully Recorded Three Millions Working Hours with Zero Accident
(30/04 – Jkt) Bio Farma regained the award from the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration of Indonesian Republic to be the company with zero accident. This award was directly delivered by the Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar and also directly witnessed by the General Secretary of Kemenakertrans Muchtar Luthfi in SMESCO Building Jakarta on April 30 2013. This achievement was the success of Bio Farma in accumulating 3.042.066 working hours within the period of October 25 2011 – December 31 2012 with zero accidents. According to the Head of CSR & General Division which supervises the Environment Health and Safety (EHS) R. Herry, during those periods, Bio Farma kept on trying to enhance the awareness of employees and consultants to work carefully in order to avoid the working accident. Moreover, Bio Farma is the company which works with dangerous and inflammable materials. “The safety and health work is inseparable with the production process both in the service or industry, so Bio Farma strives to point for the employees and the consultants to have high awareness and attitude in their work in order to be away from the working accident,” said R. Herry. The award event of Zero Accident which took the theme of “I Choose Safety” was the series of events for the K3 month of 2013 according to the Guideliness of Safety and Health National Work Month 2010-2014. This K3 award of 2013 embodied the zero accident, the K3 Asset Implementation Award and the K3 Founder Award which were given to 911 companies from 965 evaluated companies from the level of Regency, Province to the Central. The General Secretary of Kemenakertrans Muchtar Lubis in his welcome speech said that there was a significant increasing number of the companies for about 30% compared to 2012, 734 companies to be 911 companies.
