The second day in Palu, Bio Farma gave Tetanus and Flu in the Earthquake & Tsunami Location in Palu - Donggala
(Palu 4/10) SOE is There for the Country, since Wednesday October 3rd, 2018 yesterday the Bio Farma Medical Team has been in Palu, to provide vaccine aid and medical teams to victims of the earthquake and tsunami Palu.
Disril Revolin Putra, Director of Human Resources & General of Bio Farma said "Since last night starting at 8:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., we have carried out Tetanus Immunization as many as 350 Basarnas personnel in Palu"
Today with the Ministry of Health and the Health Office of Palu, we will carry out Tetanus Immunization, Flu immunization to volunteers and the surrounding community.
In addition, for the injured victims we give Anti Tetanus Serum aid, the implementation of which is in cooperation with hospitals and health centers which will begin to open today for the next nine days.
In addition to the Ministry of Health, the implementation also coordinated with SOE in Palu, namely BNI, and Basarnas.
The relief team that we sent consisted of health workers, doctors, consisting of seven personnel to the center of the earthquake and tsunami spot that occurred on September 28th, 2018 ago in the cities of Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi.
The team, led by Director of Human Resources & General Bio of Farma, Disril Revolin Putra, will be in the location for nine days, starting from October 3rd-12th, 2018.
Arriving in Palu, Bio Farma's team would join a team from other SOEs, as well as a team from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Later in the location of the earthquake and tsunami, Bio Farma would provide aid in the form of 1000 vials of Td Vaccine, 250 vials for flu vaccine, 500 ampoules of Anti Tetanus Serum (ATS 1500 IU) and 10 6×14 platoon tent units.
According to Disril, this aid was intended to alleviate the burden experienced by the people of Palu and surrounding areas, due to the earthquake and tsunami at the end of September, 2018, and also help the medical team who had first arrived at the scene.
"We share in condolences for the incident which has killed more than 1,000 people and injured other thousands. As a state-owned company engaged in the health sector, we help to maintain the health of refugees, by providing immunizations for Tetanus and Diphtheria (Td), Flu, and treatment with Anti Tetanus Serum (ATS). With a team of seven personnel, God willing, we will join the SOE is There for the Country team, and the Indonesian Ministry of Health team," said Disril.
