(27/9) Abigail Grace Rey dari Temasek International School memantapkan diri sebagi juara ESC 2014 dengan memperoleh score 1111,90 dan mengalahkan 10 finalis lainnya yang berasal dari siswa SMA / SMK dari seluruh Indonesia. Aby sapaan akrab Abigail mengatakan bahwa motivasi mengikuti acara ini adalah berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris memang menyenangkan dan sudah menjadi kesehariannya terutama di lingkungan sekolahnya yang memang menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantarnya, “Pada awalnya saya hanya mengantar teman saya untuk mengikuti acara ini, namun saya tidak menyangka bahwa saya terlipilih menjadi pemenangnya” ujar Abi dengan bahasa inggris yang lancar. Menurut dewan juri Mr. Ferry Anthony yang menjadi kriteria penilaian adalah  Speech construction, Presentation and delivery,  Content of Speech, Language dan Time managament  “Pada dasarnya semua peserta memiliki keunggulan masing - masing, namun kami dewan juri harus menetapkan satu pemenang yang sesuai dengan kriteria yaitu ketepatan dengan topik,  vocabulary (pemilihan kata), bahasa tubuh, ekspresi dan pronunciation (pengucapan) dan kami memilih Abigail dari Temasek Internatioal School sebagai juara I” ujar Ferry pada saat penobatan pemenang. Selain Aby, Juara kedua dimenangkan oleh Edwina Sukmasari dari SMAN 8 Bandung dengan score 1069,33 berhak mendapatkan uang tunai sebesar 7,5 juta rupiah dan juara III diraih oleh Allathifah Desnia dari SMAN 1 Pasuruan dengan score 1067, berhak mendapatkan hadiah uang tunai sebesr 5 Juta rupiah. Untuk finalis lainnya berhak medapatkan uang tunai 10 juta rupiah. Ketua Panitia ESC 2014 Hidayat Setiaji mengatakan Pada tahun ini kami penyelenggaraan pendaftaran ESC menggunakan  sistem e-registrasi dan penilaian secara ontime menggunakan aplikasi web base, sehingga acara dapat dilakukan lebih cepat. Harapan ke depan, ESC dapat menggaet peserta dari tingkat perguruan tinggi terkait produk biologi atau ESC tingkat asia tenggara. Biofarma ESC 2014 adalah tahun ke-2 setelah sebelumnya pada tahun 2013 diadakan acara serupa untuk daerah DKI Jakarta dan Jawa Barat, sebagai bagian dari acara HUT PT Biofarma. Pada tahun ke-2 ini, ESC diadakan secara nasional dengan bantuan media online, media sosial dan youtube. Kami berharap acara ini dapat kembali dilakukan dengan cakupan/ tingkatan yang lebih baik lagi. (27/9) Abigail Grace Rey from Temasek International School established herself as the champion of the ESC 2014 by gaining score of 1111.90 and beating 10 other from SMA / SMK from all over Indonesia. Abi, the Abigail's nickname, said that the motivation to follow this event is that speaking in English is fun and it is her daily activities, especially in her school environment that is using English as the language of communication "At first I just drove my friend to join this event, but I do not think that I will be chosen as the winner "said Abi in fluent english. According to the jury Mr. Anthony Ferry what become the assessment criteria is the Speech construction, Presentation and delivery, Content of Speech, Language and Time managament "Basically, all participants have their own advantage, but we are the jury should assign one winner in accordance with the criteria that is the accuracy of the topic, vocabulary (choice of words), body language, expressions and pronunciation (pronunciation) and we chose Abigail from Temasek Internatioal School as the first winner" said Ferry at the time of the coronation of the winner. In addition to Aby, the second winner was won by Edwina Sukmasari of SMAN 8 Bandung with a score of 1069.33 who was entitled to a cash of 7.5 million rupiah and the third winner was won by Allathifah Desnia of SMAN 1 Pasuruan with a score of 1067, who was entitled to a cash prize of 5 million rupiah. Other finalists are eligible to obtain cash of 10 million rupiah. The chairman of ESC Committee Hidayat Setiaji said this year the implementation of ESC registration uses the e-registration system and on time assessment using web-based applications, so that the event can be done more quickly. In the future it will expected that ESC can pick up participants from the college level relating to the biology products or ESC in the level of southeast asia. Bio Farma ESC 2014 is the 2nd after previously in 2013 the similar event was held for the area of Jakarta and West Java, as part of the anniversary event of PT Biofarma. In the 2nd year, the ESC was held in nationwide with the help of online media, social media and youtube. We hope this event can be re-done with a better scope / level.
